WHY WE REJECTED GIWAs LEAGUE COMMITTEE - CLUB OWNERS. Facts have emerged on why the Association of premier league club chairmen and Managers (club Owners) rejected the newly inaugurated league committee set up by the Chris Giwa led NFF. Making the clarification on Sunday, Acting Secretary of the Club Owners Alloy Chukwuemeka who was a guest at the on-going Abubakar Bukola Saraki sponsored Igbo Traders Unity Cup at the kwara Stadium Ilorin, told Sports Writers that the Association rejected the League committee because they were not consulted and as such runs contrary to the position of the club owners. He added that the Club Owners were patiently waiting for the expiration of the tenure of the LMC in two months time, after which an election is expected to usher in a substantive League board when they heard the news of yet another faction of LMC. Chukwuemeka stressed that the Club owners believe strongly in the provisions of FIFA and NFF statutes, and would not turn around to act in the contrary simply because of an offer of a strange Greek gift. On the NFF Crisis, the former Yobe Desert Stars Media chief cautioned all the factions to shield their Sword and imbibe the spirit of peaceful resolution of the problems in line with the relevant statutes that guide football Administration and as sanctioned by FIFA. The Club Owners Scribe who doubles as the General Manager of ABS Football Club however advised that the relevant stake holders in Nigeria football should be invited to a round table meeting to chart the forward for our football, insisting that the synergy of our collective decisions and efforts will help us in building the capacity to solve our present problems He said.
