WHY YOU MUST BE HOLY (1) Daily Devotional “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not coformes”. Romans 12:1-2 When God said you should leave a holy and clean life it is not for Him but for your own benefit. He said “Be ye holy for I am holy.” He is demanding that from you so that you may function like He functions. He demands it of you so that you may join Him in the art of creation. He is demanding holiness from you to give you an opportunity to plow that thing that is in you which creation is waiting for. There are nations waiting for you to deliver them. He demands holiness from you so that you may grow to your full potential in Him. Verse 2 of Roman 12 says “be not conformed to the world but be ye transformed”. You are not to follow or comply with the fixed standard, regulation or requirement of this world because you are no longer of this world but are now a child of God. To be transformed means to be metamorphosed or be changed into another person. A holy person. This change comes by the renewing of your mind. It comes by you programming your mind with the right things. You reprogram and renew your mind as you read, meditate and assimilate the truth of the word of God. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”. So as you focus on the image of the Lord daily through his word, you are gradually changed into the same image. One of the things that helped me to run away from sin was a little black Bible I possessed which I kept on reading. This kept me from sin and made me hot. I was involved in the youth fellowship praying and everyone I met, I told my testimony. I told all my friends about it and some of them said it will not last but I knew it was forever because I kept on studying the bible and I kept on renewing my mind. I challenge you today to study and meditate daily on the word of God and you will experience a transformation into all that God has ordained for your life to be. I bless you today in the name of the Lord. Further reading: 2 Corinthians 3:1-18 Daily Bible Reading: Morning Numbers 29:31, Evening Mark 9:1-29 Spread the Word, Share!
