WHY ZAMBOANGA CITY IN 2020?: I chose ZAMBOANGA CITY IN 2020 because I noticed that most of the Zamboanga City groups here on Facebook are simply reliving about our citys glorious past---and none actually thought of creating a group that would discuss the future of our city. Its OK to reminisce about the past, but we cannot dwell so much on our past and not think and plan about the future. What we really need is a group that would tackle issues about the FUTURE of our city. I chose 2020, because like a perfect eye vision of 20/20...we need to stay focused with that vision of a better Zamboanga City in the future...Why 9 years from now? Changes do not happen overnight and I believe 9 years is more than enough time to come up with an idea, discuss it, plan it and put it into action----all in 9 years time... MISSION STATEMENT: The purpose of this group is to try to visualize our city in the year 2020. What can we do collectively or as individuals to make our city as progressive and as clean as other cities in the country? Lets come up with ideas, plans and projects and share---and discuss---it here so we can all work together to make it into reality and transform Zamboanga City back to the great city it once was. SO OUR MEMBERS WILL KNOW: What we have started here is not merely a Facebook group. We actually---and accidentally---started a MOVEMENT by the people of Zamboanga City---for the people of Zamboanga City---who are FED UP with whats going on with the very slow progress of our city because of GRAFT & CORRUPTION among our current elected officials. So, on we march forward to a better future for our city! BOBOYS NOTE: This group will also serve as a WATCHDOG against GRAFT and CORRUPTION in our city government...to make sure our peoples money is spent where it should be used. Let this serve as a WARNING to our ELECTED OFFICIALS...if you STEAL our PEOPLES MONEY...we will INVESTIGATE you and get you PROSECUTED! WE MUST REMAIN VIGILANT!!! ONE FINAL NOTE: In this group...there will be no confrontational arguments...we only want peace and harmony and good vibes from all of you. Remember, in this group there are no political or religious personalities. We are all here as Zamboangueños --- Catholics and Muslims alike --- working towards the betterment of our city....We dont want any politics here---only your thoughts, opinions and great ideas for our city.
