WHY do I do it? Why do I help so many Singer/Songwriters? Why do - TopicsExpress

WHY do I do it? Why do I help so many Singer/Songwriters? Why do I go out of my way, bust my tail taking their pictures, with sore legs and back, then give the pictures away. Why do I spend countless hours putting together radio shows to promote original artists, get them heard around the world, for free? Why do I spend more countless hours getting them broadcast on internet radio stations around the world, and making posters, and marketing them? I actually go into debt doing all I do to help Singer/Songwriters succeed. I get criticized for doing this too. I have been told its not real work, I should get a real job. Im wasting my time. What I do has no real value. Sometimes I want to give up. But I dont. I do it because I am one of you. I understand you. I know what it feels like to struggle your whole life, to write songs from your heart, and people wont listen. I know Rejection. I know Criticism. People will criticize you and your style, say youre not good enough, say your lyrics are too simple. I understand. People will not respect the effort and the products and songs you bring to the world. They will compare you to other artists harshly. Music and Art are not appreciated in this world the way it used to be. We all are struggling for validation of ourselves, when we know for a fact it has been a divine inspiration that has brought us this far. I know all of this, personally. This is why I want to help you, and help myself, bring the fruit of our labor forward, and uplift the artists I know, and share your music around the world. I want to put your music, and my music, in front of a new appreciative listening audience around the world and maybe an opportunity will open up for all of us. I am helping you get it out there, and its up to the Universe to respond. We were given these songs for a reason, and its up to us to do something with them, to honor the gift.
