WHY in a resend interview i was asked what makes me tic , why do i send hours teaching , showing , talking , driving all over north america , admining DHF , doing demo drives (mostly for charitys) answering questions from all over the world , putting together big hitches like the 46, retraining ruined horses , collecting and breeding old type drafts , training very well trained horses , training people to be competent safe drivers ,feeding housing unwanted -stray horses till they can be re homed, doing demonstrations of plowing , road building , freighting , farming , early settlers /fur traders, with historic sites all over western Canada, hosting the draft horse farm and ranch show , show casing old and new methods of farming and haying , hosting driving and training clinics , Why ? Why would i do this ? especially when it opens u up for critics to tear at ur methods and belittle your ideas and eared knowledge and knowledge that was handed down by generations of horseman and trainers and the accomplishments that i have achieved like setting a world record and winning most every driving competition iv entered , Why ? Why would i allow strangers to get close to us , even allow them into our home and allow they to learn to drive with horses i hold more dear life its self! using restored farm machines that dad and i spent every spare moment for the last 35 years making like new and i wouldnt trade for any new truck , and all of this at my expense , i have no sponsor and nor any i looking for one,WHY ? WHY would you do this ? Well i do this and much more for the en betterment and awareness of the draft horse , always have and by educating people that are interested now and the new generations coming up how to live work with and train in a safe productive manner for people and the draft horse ! im not narcissistic (people that know me know its true , ill duck out of a pic so the photographer gets just the horses ) im not a bragger or a blow hard ( i share what i /we do once again to en better the draft horse) i dont chase fame . in fact ill walk away and go around back to see who is really the person or persons that really should get the fame for the work they do , iv been called a bully for standing up to bullies ( funny how that works ) im not a bully , i have never been ( in fact we have helped at schools and clubs and groups to stop bulling ), if my mom caught me doing so she would bring me down a notch because she taught me better (any one who has meet us knows im talking the truth ) and i would never disrespect her ! i was brought up to stick up for those that cant do so for them selfs (every animal gets the same level of respect from me) they eat first and to let them be them as much as possible , i trust every one i meet with he same level , if you break that trust youll have to work hard to earn it back , i have had to learn patience with rude disrespectful people ! the group , well once again i started it to promote draft horses ! and make it a safe place for people to post and comment in a positive manner , i guess it works because we have been on face book for just over a year and a half and have almost 25000 members and have had to remove only 600 real people from the group for bulling the rest are fake spam profiles that are removed because we all know where to buy ?(running shoes and sun glasses ) and from talking to many other admins from horse groups our removed numbers are quite low (especially for a group that has our rules ), i honestly never thot our group would be this large (we get up to 2000 post comments and likes in a day and sometimes many many more) and it staggers the mind at how far reaching this group really is! and how many people really love the draft , i feel we have reached out and helped the draft horse and enlighten many draft owners ! in short , my hat is off to u all and i humble offer our help , shoulder to cry on , respect , encouragement , commendatory , humor , honor , and support for Any and all things draft ! thats WHY Neil
