WICKED CWICK PERFORMANCE Will soon be offering a bolt in J swap mount kit for the 97-01 prelude. Please Pm for pricing if your serious about swapping!! What is included in the kit: 1. Driver side mount bracket that bolts to the factory pillow mount location. 2. Transmission bracket required to bolt the billet mount to and attach to driver side mount bracket. This bracket will use the top two holes located on the rear of the transmission case aswell as two lower case bolt locations in order to hug the tranny to help support the top holes used so the threads on the transmission are less likely to strip out. 3. Passenger side mount bracket. As pictured above this bracket will hug the entire frame horn and use the traction bar bolt holes the battery tray bolt holes aswell as the two original mount holes on the frame. 4.There will also be a spacer plate pre drilled to be installed on the driver side to keep the traction bar level. 5. The rear torque bracket will bolt onto the back side of the engine and straddle the hasport mount that will bolt to the rear cross member. All mount pockets are boxed from the back side aswell in order to make sure they dont flex or break for added strength. These mounts were designed with hood clearance, ground clearance and axle angle in mind. Yes our lower setting will require you to trim the skeleton on the hood but it will also still allow for an oem look with the hood closed aswell as 3/4 more ground clearance. which we all know that may be the difference between stance and stupid for some. We are currently in discussion with hasport about a package price for the billet mounts involved and will pass any savings there on to the purchaser. The height difference between high and low will be determined by simply swapping and flipping the driver and passenger mounts over and reinstalling them. similar to the second generation civic j mounts. We can also offer powder coating of most colors for the brackets. as far as the mounts most of us cant complain about shiny Billet! We have chosen the use of oem axles because the oem axles have already proven to handle a lot of the power most jluders will put down. I have also had very good luck with Mikes axles at INSANE SHAFTS he offers oem fitment CL axles for less than $400 a set that are garunteed for 500hp and tested well above that. With our kit you can use any traction bar of your choice since we chose to go without a front mount. so the question of whether or not our kit will work with both base and SH is not an issue. Also there is less obstruction for the added room for turbo manifolds or anything else the heart desires. Last but not least the question of the Stress test. Ours have been tested in a real world driving environment for over 4 months. The prelude pictured is driven more than 50 miles daily to and from work. it has been on 1000 mile road trips on more than three different occasions. it has been drag raced and street raced often. and has shown no signs of fatigue in all of this real world testing.
