WIIS Israel proudly offers a new mentorship program in collaboration with Forum Devorah. WIIS Israel is an organization dedicated to increasing the influence of women in the fields of foreign and defense affairs in Israel and the greater Middle East by raising their numbers and increasing awareness about international security issues and women’s rights. Forum Devorah is an organization whose mission is to increase the participation of all stakeholders—particularly women—in preventing, resolving, and rebuilding after deadly conflicts. This program brings together very high profile women including members of Knesset and other high ranking officials with students for year long one on one mentoring driven internships. In extension of our ongoing Mentorship Program, WIIS Israel now offers year long mentorships with our highest profile mentors. A "mentorship" is different from an internship as the women you will be working for will be a one on one experience. Each mentor will be as dedicated to helping you with your career as you will be to assisting them in their research projects. The program includes a minimum commitment of six months with preference to those able to commit to one year. The weekly work commitment for a smaller project is five hours and ten hours for a larger project. Participants work with their mentor on research related to UN Resolution 1325, Knesset bills, research for new feminist legislation and security and peace building projects.
