WILD BUNCH Alert! imdb/name/nm0807783/reference So this guy trains as a script supervisor in the 60s, works on some flicks, including BONNIE AND CLYDE, before scoring his first - and last - official first unit Script Supervisor credit on THE WILD BUNCH. Then he drops out of the business and is barely heard from until last weeks episode of NATHAN FOR YOU wherein Nathan Fielder makes him the judge of a bogus film festival he has to put on to keep from going to jail in what amounts to a long con. I guess Sam Peckinpah broke this dude, but hes got to have one of the most unusual career trajectories in the business. (And Im assuming that it was the real Crayton Smith who showed up in the episode even though the credit isnt on his IMDB yet. Thats how Fielder usually rolls.) I always thought the visual and stylistic debts owed by Sam to BONNIE AND CLYDE were the result of multiple viewings of the film. But maybe Crayton was whispering in Sams ear the whole time. (Just kidding!)
