WILL I EVER GET IT TOGETHER? When God starts something in you, you can be sure He will finish it. You are like a gold mine that He has staked out a claim on. He is going to keep working on you until the gold comes shining through. We may get discouraged when our progress seems to slow down, but God doesn’t!! He is always working in our life whether we realize it or not. Perservering in our walk with God when things get tough, adds strength to our faith. It is more than just holding on, or enduring to the end. A saints life is in the hands of God like a bow and arrow is in the hands of an Archer. God is aiming at something the saint cannot see, but God continues to stretch us until His purpose is accomplished, then He lets the arrow fly!! That is why it is never good to compare yourself with other people, thinking you are not as good as they are, or cannot do what they do. God does not consider you a failure, He loves you unconditionally. Religion gives us rules and regulations to follow, but a relationship with God let’s you know His love for you is not based on performance, but it is based on the fact that we chose Jesus and God chose us. Salvation is a gift we received, something Jesus did for us, not something we earned by being good enough. The Apostle Paul said, I will never be perfect, but I press toward that mark of high calling. The issue is the growing in grace and the fellowship as we walk with God, that makes us who we are.
