**WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT THROUGH 10AM THURSDAY FOR STEUBEN, YATES, SCHUYLER, TOMPKINS, CHEMUNG, TIOGA(NY) AND BRADFORD COUNTIES** **WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT THROUGH 3PM THURSDAY FOR POTTER AND TIOGA(PA) COUNTIES** The coldest temperatures so far this season have arrived and were expecting readings to dip into the single digits below zero across a good part of the Twin Tiers. Winds will also remain blustery with wind chills expected to bottom out near -20. Skies have cleared, but limited lake moisture will produce scattered clouds with snow showers. High pressure will pass by to our south tomorrow, with mainly dry conditions and partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will remain well below average with highs in the mid teens. Also expect more breezy conditions with wind chills occasionally dipping below zero. Periods of snow will develop Thursday night into Friday as a clipper system slides across southern Canada. Moisture will be limited, but with the cold conditions in place, an inch or two of snow is possible. Scattered snow showers will taper off Friday with another shot of Arctic air to follow. Temperatures Friday night with bottom out in the single digits with highs on Saturday, under partly cloudy skies, in the mid to upper teens. Limited sunshine is likely on Sunday with highs in the upper 20s. A wave of low pressure will bring scattered snow showers back to the region on Monday, possibly mixed with a few rain showers on Tuesday as temperatures rise into the mid 30s. Lingering clouds are likely Wednesday with temperatures remaining in the 30s.
