WINE AND THE HOLY SPIRIT; THE PNEUMA: Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. Acts 8:29 Philip found the Ethiopian man reading the Scriptures, and he took advantage of this opportunity to explain the gospel by asking if the man understood what he was reading. Philip (1) followed the Spirits leading, (2) began the discussion from where the man was (immersed in the prophecies of Isaiah), and (3) explained how Jesus Christ fulfilled Isaiahs prophecies. When we share the gospel, we should start where the other persons concerns are focused. Then we can bring the gospel to bear on those concerns. Acts 8:29-35
