WINTER... the first word that comes to mind is, brrrrr. the second word is SKIING; which is todays Tip of the Day: Waxing. How often should you wax skis or board? Ideally wax your base(s) after every three uses or once a week (whichever comes first). If you only ski once every week or two, wax your bases right after skiing. This protects the base material should the skis/snowboard sit for a few weeks in a damp garage. Also, at the end of the season, apply a heavy coat of wax to the bases (medium hardness) and do not scrape away the excess until the first day of skiing next winter. The thick wax layer will protect the bases from moisture, air, UV, and heat over the summer.
