WIP: COMMISSION I am very honored to create a snowglobe for an artist! This is in the works and the globe will be handpainted like the babuschka (needs coating) with pretty windows and magical snow. ;) I use craft clay and no molds, so it takes a while until it is ready for the oven. After that I sand it unti everything is as even as can with hands. This takes a lot of time, but since everything is handcrafted and no mass production I really am happy to make things like that for my customers, like the carousel-pony. This process makes the paint attach better to the form. After that I use my imagination (the back of the babuschka) - I had one at home to see that they are painted in the back as well- and the reference they want me to use. (In this case the Matryoschka skirts from the Brand Lief. To match two skirts. Blue and red. I had sewn the wrapper-fabric for the alice band by hand this time and wrapped red satin band around it. Glued flowers and snow as well as the plate for the globe on. The inner of the hairband was decorated with cotton-lace. I hope youll like it when its ready.
