WIRO Open House is coming up soon, Friday October 11th. Department members can sign up to volunteer in the main office. It is a great opportunity to show the community what the Astronomy side of our department does. We take over 120 people to the top of Jelm Mountain to the observatory. This is the one day a year that an eyepiece is placed on the telescope. This is a really fun activity for all, those that are working it and those that are visitors to the telescope. We will be asking for volunteers to work the Open House. The sign up sheet will be in the main office starting this week. Please think about joining us, because it is a great way to reach out to the community (and it is a lot of fun too!)
