WITH ALL THE INCESSANT BOMB-BLAST AND IMPIOUS KILLINGS, SHOULD WE STILL CONTEMPLATE NEGOTIATION WITH, OR EVEN AMNESTY FOR BOKO-HARAM? In recent weeks, Boko Haram has carried out deadly attacks in the northeast Nigerian states of Adamawa, Borno and tone, despite the Federal Governments declaration of a state if emergency in the three States--SAHARAREPORTERS While we underrate them because they uneducated in the western sense and they are also ragtag, Boko-Haram are not stupid by any measure, which is why they have superior firearm, backed by advanced surveillance and reconnaissance technology system. They also carry-out their attacks and run their operations at night. The group is unrepentant and they are desperate to take over the country which they want to rule by by force, and make us conquered people. When we talk of negotiating with the people or granting them amnesty does this mean Nigeria should apologise to them for adopting federalism and democratic system of government instead of theocracy which they have in mind? They hardly consider, in the words of Edmund Burke that; The use of force is but temporary It may subdue for the moment, but it does not remove the necessity of subduing again; and a nation is not governed , which is perpetually to be conquered
