WITNESSING AVID CASE TRIAL I say, comrades, I am smelling rat! The Namibian newspaper and NBC Radio News reported last week that the trial of the AVID scam is nearing. Only that the police are having problems in contacting potential witnesses in that scam. Presumably at least 40 of the some 66 witnesses could not be traced by Police either because their telephone numbers and or their addresses have, in the meantime, changed. Can you hear? Have the contact numbers been deliberately changed or is it just a coincidence? I mean come-on, some of these witnesses are very well known public figures, who should not have been so difficult to contact!! In any event, those who are accused in the scandal are likely to be found not guilty owing to lack evidence! Because in all criminal trials guilty has to be proved beyond reasonable doubt and this heavily depends on the availability and quality of witness or testimony of guilt! I saw this coming because of the involvement at the highest level by Namibian political figures. his case has been dragging on for at least 9 years now!
