(11.Marya bent Shamaon (the Coptic girl) During his stay in el Madina, the prophet started sending letters to the kings, soultanet, and all princes of all countries asking them to believe in the Islamic faith. One of those leaders is the patriarch of the coptics in Egypt. The prophet sent Hateb ibn aby Baltaah to the patriarch as his special invoy in the seventh year of the hijra. When the patriarch finished reading the prophets letters, he commented 《This man is really the prophet we have been reading about in the BIBLE. He is not a lire priest, nor a wicked magician 》 Then he asked Hateb to keep his words secret to the coptics because they were much devoted to their Christianity that they will not hear the words of truthabout islam. Then, the patriarch called for his clerk who spoke and wrote Arabic well and dictated him the following 《In the name of Allah the merciful, the beneficent 》 From the patriarch of Egypt head of the coptics to Muhammad ibn Abd-Allah.peace be up on you. I have read your letter and understood what you mentioned in it and what you are calling for. I have always expected a final prophet, but I thought he will appear in the Levant. I have honoured your messenger and sent you two remarkable girls of the coptics, Marya and her sister Sireen. I have also sent you a mule, two donkeys , a horse, some honey from binha, some fine Egyptian clothes, some gold and savants. Hateb left the patriarch with the presents. The patriarch sent some soldiers with Hateb to guide him until the boarders of the Arabian peninsula.to be continued..............
