WNCAP Commemorates World AIDS Day! WNCAP will sponsor a week-long World AIDS Day event entitled “A Celebration of Lives” featuring 160 panels from the National AIDS Memorial Quilt. The exhibit takes place at the Renaissance Hotel-Asheville, runs from Monday, November 24th through Monday, December 1st (World AIDS Day) and is closed on Thanksgiving Day. This is the largest exhibit of the AIDS Memorial Quilt in the state of North Carolina. This year’s exhibit will include newly made panels. Hours of the exhibit are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On World AIDS Day, Monday, December 1st from 7:00 – 9:00 pm singer Kat Williams, guitarist & vocalist “Lyric” (Leeda Jones) and Cantaria;The Gay Men’s Chorus of Asheville will be featured in a musical celebration also at the Renaissance.These events are free and open to the public.
