Thank You Jeff Flake!! 200 “General” / 25 “Ladies” / 25 “Masters” -Discs are on the way!!! 200 sweet as bearmeat discs from Legacy Discs are in route to the Club Vault as I type.... TOURNEY -Bret Moore to serve as TD. Chris Bennett to assist. -Saturday Registration is between 8 and 9 AM with Tee Off at 9:30 at Richmond Hill. Top 64 ranked players only so get a low tag!!!! Sunday Tee Off at 9 AM sharp. -Nate Kellar to design trophy to go along with the usual hefty cash payouts. -Wintersun Course will be UNPLAYABLE until the completion of Final Day. (QUIET, RESPECTFUL Spectators Welcome) PARTY Starts at 12:00 on Sunday 8/24 at Wintersun Farm in Fairview -COLLARED SHIRTS ARE REQUIRED FOR BOTH GENTLEMEN AND LADIES!! You do not want to have to wear one of the Loaner shirts!!! -CARPOOL ONLY!!! Parking will be limited to vehicles which are carrying four or more people in from the Food Lion parking Lot. YOU WILL BE TURNED AWAY AND ASKED TO WAIT AT THE FOOD LION IF YOU HAVE LESS THAN THREE PASSENGERS. No wonder there has been 40 plus people in attendance at the recent weekly doubles. Sand Hill -Motion raised and Passed to purchase Sleeves and Concrete for the installation of 18 baskets -MOJO KITCHEN (AJ Gregson) has pledged to purchase a basket toward attaining all eighteen. BIG Thank You!!!!! Sure would love to see others follow AJs lead on this as we still need a few more baskets to get this course completed. Hint, Hint... -Work Days are back on and scheduled for every Thursday from now until completion. Thank You Kevin Vinez! · Lake Julian -The Lake Julian Handicap League is going well with over fifty players participating. -Big Thanks to Chris Chamberlain for covering the TD duties so that Tyler Wooddy could attend the Board Meeting. -Skeleton Layout for Back Nine is in. Awaiting approval… -Big Thanks go out to Moe’s Barbecue for being so gracious as to feed the masses at recent Wednesday events. Black Mountain -Holes 1, 2, and 10 Tee Pads have been installed and look great!!!! Thank you Casey Conner and The Staff at the Black Mountain Course that keep it looking great!! -Ace Pool is capped at $100 with $28 building in reserve -PERMISSION HAS BEEN GRANTED TO HAVE A TEST RUN OF GLOW GOLF AT THE COURSE WITH THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES BLESSING!!!! Details to follow… · Merchandise -T-shirts are in and ready for dispersal at the upcoming Club Party. -Hats have been re-ordered and we are now awaiting delivery. -Prices are: T-Shirts for $15 / Trucker Hats for $20 / Flat Bill Hats for $25 Miscellaneous -New Email address is WNCDGA@Gmail. -Bret Moore, Nate Kellar, and Jeff Flake to get up with Jason Urroz about becoming signers of club checks -Tyler Wooddy to pursue purchasing matching locks for all local baskets Asheville Parks and Rec Summer Camp to happen on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of August ----Cancelled--- -Bret Moore to order 100 Club Stamped minis from Innova at the same time as the General Issue discs are ordered -Nate Kellar to conduct a Clinic for students at Haw Fletcher Elementary in the coming month -Jeff Flake to design a Club Activities flyer to be posted on strategic holes around Richmond Hill Course to advertise weekly and monthly events New Business -Wind Motika to generate new Sponsorship Forms. -Checks to be re-ordered ASAP -Thom Williams to design Literature to be placed in the Richmond Hill kiosk to describe the other local courses and re-direct folks to them on particularly busy days -Bret Moore and Tyler Wooddy volunteer to TD at upcoming ‘Masters League Singles Event“. -Francisco Vargas to pursue repeating the “Toys for Tots” Tourney in November. -Club has been approached by two generous members inquiring as to how they can help to fund local youth oriented disc golf clincs.
