WOMAN KILLED IN TWO-VEHICLE WRECK NORTH OF CHERRYVALE CHERRYVALE — An Overland Park, Kan., woman was killed in a two-vehicle wreck at the U.S. 400-169 highway junction north of Cherryvale on Monday evening. The Kansas Highway Patrol said a 2007 Toyota Prius driven by Jeanne M. Bressie, age 73, of Overland Park, Kan., was on the exit ramp from U.S. 400 to U.S. 169 eastbound when she failed to stop at the intersection and struck a 2007 International semi-tractor trailer driven by Gerald L. David, age 48, of Tulsa, Okla. Bressie was taken to Labette Health in Parsons where she died of injuries. David was taken to Mercy Hospital in Independence for treatment of injuries.
