WOMEN HEALTH Services are now available at Vic Physio Group! Womens health service provides a comprehensive assessment and treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. The pelvic floor muscles have an important role in providing core strength; support to the spine and pelvis, as well as support to the pelvic organs; including bladder and bowel. These dynamic group of muscles undergo changes during certain stages of a women life such as in pregnancy, post partum and menopause. Left untreated can lead to low back or pelvic pain, stress incontinence, urgency, or prolapse of pelvic organs. With education and correct activation, physiotherapy can strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and assist to reduce your symptoms as well as any associated stress, anxiety and even embarrassment!
