WOMENS DAY CELEBRATION: When I heard that women were celebrating their day yesterday the first thing that crossed my mind was Why is it that men are not celebrating their own day? But I was quick to realise that the remaining 364 days in every year is for men. Women only have a single day in every year, March 8th. And why will it not be like that, when God Almighty Himself had made it mandatery for women to be respectful and subservient to men? But just as d so-called civilised societies, spear-headed by d United States of America, have repudiated d godly instinct of man and scorned d sacred laws of God in so many ways, they are now encouraging women in their clamour for Affirmative Action. This is to ostensibly make women to be at least equal to men, and at best better than men. Women now want to be governors and Presidents! What a laugh! And some of them have actually become Presidents in some backwater and woodland countries like Liberia. We can only remind them here that they are pressing their luck too hard. They were not even allowed to vote in d United States until 1920, with d ratification of d 19th amendment. We must note that in d 1870s Susan B. Anthony tried to vote in her hometown of Rochester, New York, asserting that she had a right to do so as a U.S citizen. The men who placed her under arrest charged her with illegal voting and insisted that her proper place was in d home. And now that women are being allowed to vote, they want more! They want to be voted for! forgetting their primary roles of being very good secretaries and assistants to men. And all these would not have mattered so much if women are not even more corrupt than men. Do the names Iyabo Obasanjo, Eteh, the former House of Reps speaker, Stella Odua, Dieziani Allison Madueke ring a bell? That is just d tip of d iceberg. POSTSCRIPT: The arguments I presented above do not reflect my real thought about women. I only present the argument bcos everyone has been praising women as if they are infallible angels that are better than men.
