WOOAAHHH!!!! That was just totally mental. Just got up after a couple of hours rest...I am not usually a day time napper but I have just been involved in one of the most experiential mind-blowing things I have ever done at work. For months I have been working with other enterprise educators across the globe to plan Global Social Storm 2014. We set out to to establish a valuable experience for students to connect with other innovators and create long term solutions that will be of great benefit to the global community. Students have the ability to become future world leaders, and to find the answers to social issues. We wanted to connect young people around the world to collaborate and seek innovative solutions to our global social problems. Over a 100 students participated from universities in UK, Canada, US, china and the United Arab Emirates. Using video conferencing software they have been connecting, collaborating and innovating for an intense 24hr brainstorming session to tackle an issue provided by the UN: Education. More specifically the lack of universal primary education AND the current disengagement by many learners world over. The videos below are the solutions that have been whipped up in such a short time span. We didnt win the top prize but I am so proud of what they did in such a short time span.
