WOOHOO ITS FRIDAY AND Welcome wonderful new peeps. I am the mother of three quirky kids, I share, I rant, I am honest, candid, and sometimes I say things that people dont like. I revel in the successes of my children, big and small I revel in the successes of the Autism Community, big and small I revel in the radiance that the people who follow our journey have demonstrated thus far. (I revel-a lot) With me, there seems to always be a rainbow somewhere in the distance...I am always looking for it, even on my very, VERY worst days, and with one ASD, ADHD, SPD Child, one ADHD 2E child and one profoundly gifted child...I sometimes find myself REALLY desperate to find it...I have ADHD, and it has been mentioned that I may possibly be on the spectrum. At this point in my life, with my back pocket overloaded with facts on Autism, I am pretty sure, I do not need a piece of paper. I am me, and I like who I am, sincerely. I do not name my children, I call them Elle(aka My big girl, 10), Em (sometimes BoyGenius, 7) and E(my sweet boy, turning 4 too soon). They get to choose, when they are old enough whether they would like to be visible...I prefer them invisible. We live just outside of Boston, and we love it here, but I am a Canadian girl at heart. My fb journey started so I could share updates with friends and family all over the world, but I realized that having Voices is integral to Embracing Neurodiversity**...being heard is important, knowing we are not alone is ESSENTIAL to our survival as parents of children on the spectrum. I searched and searched for a local support group, when no local groups were found, I fell into this page, this journey, and now, I feel your support, I have made many, MANY life long friends through this page...I have learned so much about myself and about this community. Yesterday was a tough day for me, because I truly believe that we could all help each other raise awareness, we are a part of the Spectrum parents of Autistic children, or children with Autism...Lets keep it real and keep supporting EACH OTHER. Please share your thoughts, your goals, your interests, and what brought you here...please stay, but if you choose to leave, let me know if I have said something appalling to you...I NEVER mean to offend, but I fear sometimes, by my nature I do. I write in the Stream of Conscious style, so sometimes I make mistakes, usually on my phone... In case you are wondering...I do not make a profit from having a page, except emotionally, and for that I thank all my peeps, my friends old and new, family and all you wonderful folks who have joined our journey.
