WOOT-WOOT! I am now one of Pearson’s newest Diversity & Inclusion Advocates! Ill be working with my colleagues to achieve greater understanding and acceptance of one anothers differences, be it orientation, race, religion, gender identity, culture—really, anything. Locally, Ill help develop and host events, brownbag lunches, panel discussions, workshops, and other hands-on, in-person engagement; and Ill be that nice lady you can come to regarding personal issues, conflict resolution, and general assistance in helping you feel included, accepted, and proud of who you are. On a corporate level, Ill be looking for ways to incorporate more diversity into our teams so that we gain better insight and efficacy, which will help us create learning tools/products that reach and have greater impact on a wider audience. The idea being: rather than functioning despite our differences, well succeed thanks to our differences!
