The highway to success is not laid on a foundation of good intentions. Give attention to your intention. People judge you by your actions, not your intentions. Charles Spurgeon counsels, “Do not fritter away your life in thinking of what you intend to do tomorrow as if that could recompense for the idleness of today. No man ever served God by doing things tomorrow. If we honour Christ and are blessed, it is by the things which we do today.” Divine dream is always delegated to a dedicated doer. Embarking on a worthwhile project generates more vision. Have you ever heard someone saying, "I wish I’ll do this; I wish I’ll do that." The result is that the person ends up doing nothing. "The desire (wish) of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour" (Proverb 21:25). Stop wishing, begin to act! God is more interested in your action than in your wishes. Great souls have wills, feeble souls have wishes. Where do you belong? Always have a creative mind. Live as if Jesus is coming the next moment, but plan as if He is coming in the next one thousand years. Dream big, think big, then act big! Dream actually comes through the "multitude of business" (Ecclesiastes 5:3). A million words will not leave a lasting impression as one deed. One good deed is of more worth than a thousand theories. Your life’s story is not written with a pen of mere wishes but with your action. It may only be one step you need to take to cause the power of God to flow in you, which will enable you to actualize your spiritual goal. And your enjoyment of life depends primarily on the attainment of spiritual goals, not on fame, fortune, food, fun or other objectives of the world. A life of faith is a life of enjoyment. As you step out in faith the Lord will guide you for "the step of a good man are ordered by the Lord" (Psalm 37:23).
