WORD FOR TODAY: Hebrews 10:25 (Amplified Bible) Do not forsake or neglect to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching In this enlightened society, we THINK we dont need to actually go to church; how many times have you heard someone say: God is everywhere, I dont need to attend church to worship. While this may be true; but Scripture tells us to assemble ourselves together, (attend church), for 3 specific reasons: (1) to distinguish ourselves from non-believers, (2) to help and encourage one another, even admonish, warn one another. and (3) as a sign of our faith. Christ is coming back for His Church, what a special way for Him to find you; not sitting home alone, but assembled together with other saints, in the very act of praise and worship, or listening to His Gospel being preached. There is purpose in every word of scripture, we must not fall into the habit of simply choosing to do what we please, and not what pleases God the father, Jesus Christ, and His Holy spirit. God is always blessing us, Cant we just bless Him sometimes with our willing, heartfelt obedience to His word.
