WORD: Just-in. After some heated haggling, the seller has accepted our offer on 7212 Fish Hatchery Road, Frederick 21701, which 1820 surveys and maps (layint out the original plans for Lewistown which consist of 45 acres along two tributaries of Fish Hatchery Creek, which cover the dividing line between Frederick and Thurmont, describe as a having had a log frame structure on that land. We believe the current house was built in part around the remants of that log frame crica 1900. The interior of the property has largely beeen brought up to modern code with in the past 25 years. The flooring is the original flooring; the seller was very talented at woodworking - and his wife apparently has a decorators aesthetic for wallpapering. The Seller appears to have refinished each of the original wood floor panels, possibly staned a light maple, and polyurethaned throughout. Only two of 10 rooms (there are two smaller rooms not mentioned in any of the MLIS listings) are carpeted. The rest look like this. Look at the size of the fire place hearth! These interior photos do not begin to do the place justice - when you see it for yourself, the love and detailed work that the previous owners have put into this Colonial farmhouse on over an acre of land a mere 10 miles from Camp David simply steals your heart! We are excited.
