WORD OF THE DAY - Foofaraw FOO-fuh-raw noun - 1 :frills and flashy finery 2: a disturbance or to-do over a trifle : fuss EX. I wanted to buy a simple silk sheath for the big party, but everything I saw at Nordstorm was decked out with lace, peplums, sequins, and all types of foofaraw that just is not me. Ex. Republicans, Democrats, independents and Tea Party supporters alike object to the threat of a shutdown, a NY Times/CBS poll says and no one assumes the threats by Speaker Bohner and his cohorts are just foofaraw.
