(NTL) “He (Christ) is the One who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.” The calling of God comes with its responsibility. Eph. 4: 12 (NLT) “Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do His work and build up His church, the body of Christ” Apostle Paul wrote to the Christians in Rome in Rom. 1: 11 (NLT) “For I long to visit you so I can share a spiritual blessing with you that will help you grow strong in the Lord.” Child of God, your man of God has an awesome responsibility in his hands. He is only counting on your cooperation and trusting that the grace of God will see him through. The least you can do for him is to encourage him in the work through your obedience. Every act of disobedience and rebellion slows him down in his work and sometimes it hinders him. Heb. 13: 17 (NLT) “Obey your spiritual leaders and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, .... Give them reason to do this joyfully and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.” An act of obedience from a true and sincere heart honours your man of God. When you follow him as he follows Christ, it brings joy to his heart and God’s work in your life is achieved easily. Beloved, for the work that he does, for his labour over your life, honour your man of God; and you shall be blessed for it. Amen. (share)
