WORKING DAY.. It was another full day at the farm. Bob moved most of the wrapped round bales from the Taunton Road location. The lessons moved along well. Rose saddled up Abbey and worked on her canters today. She did a nice job although she is still a little apprehensive. Then it was little Samara on Riddler. We started the lesson on the line and then off she went. We did lots of trotting circles, changes of direction and full working trot. This is another talented little girl. After Samara was Charity for her second lesson. Today she was up on Precious. We did some sit trot and a review of her last lesson. She was wearing her brand new riding boots. I told her to wear them around the house and do some stairs to help break them in. My last lesson was with Nathan driving LE. He drove aggressively trying to take a second or two off his best time working the cones. He just loves driving. Near the end of his lesson, dad hopped in the cart with Nathan as he drove around at a much more sedate speed. Pauline was out early this morning and took a walk on the Crown Lands. She came back and saddled up Remmy for her practice ride outdoors. Then she gave Sovereign a good scrub. She spend many hours at the stable today, loving every minute. Kate come out and organized her tack. It was a day long affair. She fitted the bridle and then refitted it. Finally she mounted up on Dottie and rode her in the arena. Ashlyn and Dan came in to do stalls. I corralled Ashlyn to take some video with Kates phone so she could view her first ride later on. The horses enjoyed a beautiful day out. No rain today and warm temperatures were a welcome change. Tomorrow is another work day; hopefully not a rained out day.
