WORKING TITLE 4: a youth and media mentoring project YOUTUBE youtu.be/14LxEUBb8Gc We are looking for young people from diverse cultures and faiths, aged 18-25, to take part in a FREE documentary filmmaking program at Channel 31 and Youthworx from the last week of September until December this year. The young people will be selected on the originality of their ideas and their willingness to be involved. Starting at the end of September they will take part in 8 sessions where they will meet with professionals and mentors in the industry and learn the basic skills of filmmaking - documentary. The weekly sessions held on Saturdays will involve writing, use of camera, lighting, sound and pre-production. They will then be supported to produce four short films, in small groups, to be aired on Channel 31 and screened at ACMI at the end of December. Participants are provided with a MYKI card and lunches. The deadline for applications is Friday 29th August (very soon!!!) so please pass this on to anyone who might be interested.
