WORKSHOPS TARGET RABBIT CONTROL IN STORM KING REGION The work being done on a rabbit control project undertaken by land managers in the Storm King/ Eukey region will be showcased at a two-day workshop this month. Participants will not only learn about non-mechanical control techniques but also how to measure production and biodiversity improvements to help them plan their control into the future. On Friday 28 June you will learn about the fundamentals of trapping and fumigating, including how to set a cage trap, correct use of fumigants, and how and when to use temporary fencing and on Saturday 29 June, learn how to measure the improvement in pasture and wildlife; set up photo points; pasture monitoring and use a journal to record animals and plants. The workshops shall be held at 601 Eukey Road, Storm King.
