WORLDS BIGGEST COFFE MORNING CHARITY SUCCESS IN SHEFFIELD Caring residents, colleagues and classmates were clinking cups yesterday for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The fundraising day, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, resulted in thousands of caring Sheffielders baking and brewing-up to help the cause. Big-hearted youngsters and teachers at Angram Bank Primary School in High Green held a keep fit event alongside their coffee morning to help burn off a few cake calories. Elsewhere staff at Hillsborough Specsavers were joined in their charity efforts by veteran Sheffield fundraiser John Burkhill, known locally as the ‘mad man with the pram’. Collectively, coffee mornings that took place across South Yorkshire yesterday are expected to raise £250,000 for the charity.
