WORSHIP SONG for MONDAY - A good portion of the world has people that for them, enough is never enough. Never enough money, material goods, gadgets, vacations, clothes and toys. They need bigger houses, fancier cars, designer everything and the best luxuries money, time and energy can buy. Significant relationships are an absolute necessity and the latest and greatest of everything is something they will pay top dollar for and stand in line for days if necessary. Enough is never enough and their is no end to it. Sadly even the Followers of JESUS fall prey to this never satisfied philosophy of life. We seek that which can never satisfy because we have not dug deep into the riches of knowing the Giver of ultimate satisfaction. We strive to gain, forgetting that its more blessed to give than receive. We look to each other and the things of the world to fill the desires of our hearts, forgetting that the Maker of our hearts knows best what we need. I ask you a question that I also ask myself.....Is JESUS enough? Is the One Who gave His life for us, enough for us? Is the One Who knows us best and yet loves us most, the One Who we allow to satisfy our longing hearts? Or do we continually go to broken wells to find living water? Of course we have to function in life and of course we need certain people, places and things but to think that they will fill the voids in our broken fellowship with Christ is not wise at all. He is enough and He is always available but the problem is with you and me not Him. Jesus told a church that thought they had it all that they were poor, naked, blind and broken. They thought they had it all and it was never enough. If we look to the things of the world we will never have quite enough but if we look to Him, we will realize and remember that CHRIST. IS. ENOUGH.
