Excellent with people and other dogs even her medical evaluation states “WELL BEHAVED DOG”. She does well under the difficult circumstances of the shelter behavioural evaluation, giving perfect kisses. Her soft and silky dove grey coat is beautiful, just needing a little care to get it into top condition. Her sweet caramel eyes are full of hope, could YOU be THE ONE? This loyal loving little lady could be the perfect addition to someone’s home. Or she could be DEAD and GONE. LUCY TO BE DESTROYED - 09/23/14 Manhattan Center -P Animal ID # is A1014555. 3 YEARS old. A volunteer writes: Lucy seemed at first like a stern girl when I first met her, confident, detached, not really …my type. You know the old adage, Do not judge a book by its cover. give it a chance, a little bit more time… That is just what I did with Lucy and now, I can affirm, loud and clear: I love Lucy ! Lucy took her sweet time to make friends but once she decided that the moment was right, she became my pal, one I know, would be my loyal forever best friend if I could open my home to her. I so wish I could. Lucy is a good looking and sturdy gal, well nourished, a mama once upon a time, healthy looking and wearing an anthracite coat, patchy by places. She pulls a little on the leash, nothing major and she does her business as soon as we reach the street. She nears other dogs big and small without issue and she welcomes another volunteer who comes to say hello. She sits on command and for treats and free in a pen, she comes right away when called and sits on my foot. Invited, she jumps with her all 4 on my lap and drowns me under tons of caresses and kisses, then collapses for quiet time against my chest. Lucy is a very affectionate girl. Lucy is at the Manhattan Care Center, a stray who dreams to have a steady home and mostly, a master or a family who will love her forever.
