WOW- you have got to be kidding me. I just talked to the OT supervisor. She told me that they couldnt find another Occupational therapist for Pres (BS) and we should go through CDSA. Okay- fine. Then I told her that we didnt want to loose the PT. She asked is it just because you have developed a relationship with her? I told her that yes, we have developed a relationship with her. Who wouldnt develop a relationship with someone after almost 2 years of seeing each other on a regular basis. Also- she is an amazing therapist. She asked me if the therapist through CDSA were not good. I told her I am sure they are good but, again, we have had Sarah(PT) for almost two years and wanted to keep her. The supervisor told me technically we could keep seeing Sarah but it made more sense to go through CDSA. AGAIN- I told her we wanted to keep Sarah. She told me to call Presleys case worker and get her to call her. As we were hanging up, she said I am going to ALLOW Presley to continue to see Sarah(PT) until her recertification. EXCUSE ME?!? I called Presleys case worker and told her and she said that this made absolutely no sense. They are just trying to make it easier on themselves. So first we were being told to drop OT because Presley didnt have the cognitive ability to achieve her goals (TOTAL BS) now we are being told they are going to drop Presley from the agency altogether? Its amazing, the people that are suppose to make things easier are the ones making things difficult. This is a total nightmare! :(
