WOW! I just received the most astounding kindness from strangers; it brought me to tears. I was chatting with the hairdresser as I had my hair colored all over to a darker shade, followed by a cut at a very nice hair salon (unusually expensive for me) and as we were chatting I was telling her abt my non-profit work and how we help the working poor and children. Next thing I know, the salon refuses to let me pay and they throw in hair products and make up foundation on top of it! They also are going to have a clothing drive and asked me to come talk about Lutheran Services to the owner and entire staff. They then signed up to be A SAFE PLACE for homeless youth we serve through our youth shelter in Ft. Myers. They are the first hair salon to be a Safe Place! They asked me not to share their name, so I wont, but I am certainly going to have to pay this generosity forward!!!! Such Kindness is really a joy to experience!
