WOW! JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT IT WAS SAFE TO GO BACK IN THE WATER. Were swimming in the sea when a shoal of fish broach near us, larger fish leap out of the water about thirty feet away - they looked like bream. As we stood up to our chests in the very calm clear sea, a long furrow made a beeline towards us, large enough to cause concern, but small enough for me not to panic. More sprat fish leaped out of the water near to us and behind them a long metallic blue torpedo sped at lightning speed intent on catching its prey. A single Barracuda approximately 2 foot long and very beautiful swam straight past me within touching distance. When it turned towards me I splashed the water as I have seen what they can do when they take an aggressive bite. It went away and we plus the sprats lived to swim another day. A fantastic experience.
