WOW! Thank you all for the pickling recipes. I could write a pickle corn cookbook with them. You all are so smart...who needs Google when ya have Facebook friends? I shucked and cut off the cob, to freeze, 140 ears, today. I didnt get to pickle any of this batch because I dont have pickling salt. Ill have to tackle that later. I also made a Taco Casserole for the boys supper and Fried Cabbage and Cornbread for Mamaw, (because she wont taste of anything that even resembles a taco). I was tired from standing and decided to make me a big mug of coffee and put my feet up for a spell. Mamaw was just itching to get in the kitchen to clean up my mess, anyway. (Seriously). I found a K-cup thingy of flavored coffee to brew...Chocolate Mocha Nut, so good. Ummm, I grabbed that coffee mug to pour-in a little half and half. I thought something didnt look just right. I swear, Id grabbed the quart of egg-whites instead. I had to pitch and redo that scene. The coffee and little rest were great...but I must get up and try to get the corn scraped off my glasses and washed out of my hair. There is a ball meeting for the parents of the baseball players at 6 and they called and asked me to be there. I havent done ball meetings in many a year...this ought to be a hoot. I think my casserole looked pretty good! That stinking JT just texted to say they were going to eat at Giovannis after practice. And the beat goes on....
