WOW!!!!!! This, believe it or not, is a song my parents and I used to sing in the Senior Choir at our church, St. Johns Congregational, U.C.C., under the direction of the phenomenal Dr. Walter H. English. Being sung by a choir, you have to imagine these very close, harmonic chords all being sung in tight harmony, as opposed to a single performer. I enjoyed her rendition as well. Our choir used to perform concerts which consisted of religious music in the first half (wed be in our choir robes), and then secular in the second (wed wear formal dress). Allan Shermans pieces were some of my favorite. We performed in CT as well as at home in MA, and were very well received. GREAT memories!!!! PRICELESS!!!!!
