WOW. This is by far one of the most intense gunfights Ive ever seen on a helmet-cam. Im truly happy to know that all of those courageous soldiers returned home safely. I would also like to note that the unit cohesion i just witnessed was that of a very experienced and disciplined group of Soldiers. As you can see, this is an EXTREMELY high-stress environment that our servicemen are currently fighting skirmishes like these with Taliban insurgents. The terrain in Afghanistan is various, and is full of choke points and worse, notorious ambush zones. Now, dont get the wrong idea; im not putting a damper on anyones mood, the military life isnt doom and gloom. However, the truth is.... many Soldiers come home from this Middle-Eastern conflict, stricken with fear, the root of which is more often than not, PTSD and TBI. For some of them, they cannot function properly without assistance, and even more unfortunately... this can go on for the rest of their lives. They gave everything they had. At Helping Soldiers, we are extremely sensitive to these situations, and we will try to do everything within our power to help veterans and service-members. We dedicate ourselves to the well-being of our troops; stateside, retired, and overseas. So... as you enjoy this beautiful October evening, in the circumstance that you might run into a combat veteran... I encourage all our awesome followers to express a level of gratitude towards that Veteran. Be safe, relax, have fun, rock some red, and most importantly... Remember everyone deployed. ~Pete #RemembereveryoneDeployed #redfridays
