WOW! WOW! WOSERS! Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway... Neil Patrick Harris - a glittering, shiny, messy Hedwig for the 21st century - is chasing the Best Actor Tony in a powerhouse performance that got several well-deserved screaming, standing ovations. There is no depths to which he wont plumb... even licking the stage of the Belasco Theatre at one point! There is lots of new material in the script - much NY and Broadway based - but not to the detriment of the original. The awesome set was a constant changing delight and Hedwigs entrance was jaw-droppingly good. It was terrific to catch up with the shows director, Michael Mayer after (we worked together on Green Days American Idiot), and get the inside scoop on how the show is going and any future plans... My lips are sealed.
