WOW! What a day. Im back. Word must have gotten out that I was in town. You couldnt swing a dead cat without hitting a visitor today. It was crazy busy, and kind of hot in Paris today. Woke up at the crack of noon. I havent quite figured out the time thing yet, but I think I will be in good shape when we get home next week. Decided that today was the day to hit the sites. So did everybody else. We went to Notre Dame. BTW, in South Bend, Indiana, it is Notre Dame. Over here, apparently it is pronounced Notra Dom. Anyway, the crowds were nuts. As you can see below, people stand outside the church and say the rosary. My money says they were praying for the lines to disappear! Quite a sight to see nonetheless. From there we hopped on the sightseeing bus and went to the Arc de Triomphe, where every invading Army has passed through as they drove into the center of Paris. The last was Dwight Eisenhower several days after the liberation of Paris in 1944. Then we walked back to the city center, or as Pat called it, the Bataan Death March. It was kind of long, but a Haagen Daz outpost, followed by a Disney Store pulled Pat back from the brink. We started looking for a place to eat. There was a Tibetian Restaurant we saw. But they were serving something called the daily Lamb-a. Pat was a bit skeptical. So we found an Irish Pub that dated back over 100 yrs. It was great. Got back to the room just a bit ago. Was going through the pictures and came across the last one and LMFAO! See the skinny white guy. You know what he is thinking even without my help! They really are bigger! Off to Versailles tomorrow.
