WOW!! What a final--What an incredible night for Whitlock. Remember he didnt even qualify for this final, but got in when Wilson, his teammate withdrew with a wrist injury. And then theres the maestro himself--Uchimura who impresses me so much with how he can continues to lead this sport so beautifully with very little appreciation from the judging panels. Either they see something that I dont or they have other motives. Nevertheless, thankfully he rises above all of it! And how nice it must be for Uchimura to also have Tanaka on the medal stand with him. Although they were not able to upset the Chinese here, they can bask in the glory of dominating the All Around. Then theres Verniaiev and Belyavskiy who I remember from the Mexico Open in Acapulco several years ago. They were such delightful young men there, and I am quite sure that they will soon have their time to mount the medal platform.
