WOW!!! What a week. Monday: I had a hard time walking and talking. Went to the ER. While there, they thought I had 3 heart attacks and received a first class flight to Sayer hospital. ( David Conboy, where were you? LOL) Received a cathaderization, they went through my wrist. Good news I DID NOT have a heart attack. I received an excellent report on my arteries and heart. Spent 3 days in ICU. Lots of scans and tests and blood draws. (I now have purple arms.) It was determined that I needed a pacemaker to keep my heart beating. (not a mechanical problem but an electrical problem.) Got transferred to a regular room Wednesday night. Wednesday morning I was cut open and given additional hardware. I received my pace maker. I was awake during the whole procedure, even though I dont remember it. Friday after lunch I broke out. I had to wear my hospital gown as a shirt. I cant wear pull over shirts. (I am not allowed to raise my left arm above my head for 6 to 8 weeks. This allows the pace maker and leads to secure its self to my body.) My limbs need rehabilitation, they are weak and dont have much strength. It is going to be a long haul, lots of changes. Barb is doing well. She was a real trooper. She was able to stay right up there in Sayer at thier housing. Best part it didnt cost her a cent and had food made available to her. Most importantly, Thank you Lord for your provisions and giving me another chance at life.
