WOW. What an amazing experience yesterday helping with parking at ICEMAN COMETH Iceman Cometh Challenge . And I mean that in the best way! It was cold! It was WET! It rained.....snowed....the sun shone for all of 60 seconds....it sleeted....and everything in between....but it was FUN FUN FUN. I was so exhiliarated and exhausted last night...BEST I HAVE SLEPT IN YEARS. I met new people, fun people. For the most part everyone was awesome - only a couple of hissy fits ;) So many of the riders told us they were grateful for volunteers who were there to make it happen. And the best thing is we pulled 18 people together for the day to brave the weather all for the GOOD OF AC PAW and the dogs and kitties who need help every single day. Carol Bauer and Kim Skarritt Nelson hung out ALL FREAKING DAY in that weather with us and seriously pulled it off in a huge way. I just cannot thank everyone enough. Liz De La Rossa Jackie Richer and JEN (who I sadly still do not know the last name of, but it just about one of the sweetest people EVER) ALL OF YOU were so amazing!!!!! You restore my faith in humanity! I cannot wait until next year and hope we get this opportunity again. The biggest thanks to Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Resort for offering this wonderful chance to raise money for the BEST PET RESCUE NORTHERN MICHIGAN HAS EVER SEEN.
