WOW! What an evening. Most of you know Im an armed security officer. Well, tonight I thought would be kind of boring. We were bouncers/security officers for a frat MU party in Columbia. Several things: 1. For all my friends who are Miley haters....the things I saw tonight made her look tame. If it wouldnt have been totally inappropriate I would have taken pics. Twerking was going on EVERYWHERE. AND I EVEN GOT TWERKED 3 times! As a professional it was extremely hard to keep a straight face and one of them I surprised them by saying - wish I could, but would not be professional, Im on duty, lol. Then she (yes it was a she or maybe it wasnt) did it worse, lol! Im pretty sure it was a cross-dresser. Walmart pics had nothing on the partygoers. Everything from batgirl leather wear to a pair of cut off shorts that covered absolutely nothing. Both butt cheeks were hanging out and this was NOT a size 3 woman! Now, heres the interesting part for me. I was a little unsure how I would handle myself if there were confrontations. Started out just making sure people didnt go out the exits and bring back in contraband. They were all patted down or done with the metal detector before they came in. But about 2 hours in a fight broke out. I didnt think twice, I stepped in the middle along with 3 other officers. This was the first of many. At one point 6 girls were battling it out on the floor and they wouldnt break up, so I had to reach down and phsyically separate them and send them to separate corners...which lasted about 3 minutes until they attacked again and this time I was smack in between them. How I didnt get injured I dont know. I guess the adrenaline was going and I felt no fear. Yes, I was armed, but that wasnt an option at any point tonight. I didnt have to handcuff anyone either. But I now know I can handle myself in just about any situation. Now,.....we have to do this all over again tomorrow night! Night everyone! PS: Love my co-workers! I was the only female inside with the fights and all the males would come by my station and ask if I was doing alright. YEP, doing fine, but thanks for asking! Even the police that had to be called, did the same thing! Pepper spray, take-downs, etc. went on. Thank God for all the training our crew has been through!
