WOW! Where to begin! First, of course, I give all the praise & glory to God. I wouldnt be able to do what I do without Him! Secondly, I’d like to thank Janet Sommer for the beautiful letter she wrote to the Centreville Rotary Club as well as all the other letters the Rotary received on my behalf ~ and you know who you are :). Thank you so much! I am humbled and shocked to say the least. So many more people deserve this over me. I have to say outside of being a very blessed and proud mother to Michael, my pride and joy and love of my life, I am also very blessed and proud to be a member of the Queen Anne’s County Community and I humbly accepted this award not just for myself, but more importantly for all the people that make it possible for me to accomplish what I do in our Community. Without them, I would never be as nearly successful in the projects I get involved with. Personally, I believe that the Queen Anne’s County Community really deserves an award in itself – “Community of the Year” Award. Hmmmm, maybe that will be my next project when Michael Rigoli starts his next chapter in his life and departs for McDaniel on August 20!!. I would also like to say that even after the experiences I had through this Political Primary Election - to which my bubble was deflated a bit - having seen some of the bad & the ugly in QAC - I still feel truly blessed to live in a County where the people truly do care about people and do not hesitate to be that branch and lend a hand at a moment’s notice. Now to get some to learn to hold their tongues and key strokes..... and encourage candidates and their supporters to run their campaign on their accomplishments and how they plan to serve our wonderful County and the people in it ~ that would be an accomplishment! :) In closing, remember…. “God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10 God Bless, Tammy
