WOW! Words cannot express how grateful mom and I are for all of you... your words of comfort, your prayers, and your love! Thank you so much for being here with us through your prayers and presence. She is in a room and resting. The hospitalist consulted with her nephrologist and they have come up with a good plan of care for her for the next day or two. I went ahead and came home for the night and am hoping for some good rest, as neither of us slept well last night. Several of you called, sent messages, and/or sent texts reminding me to take care of me... THANK YOU! For the majority of the day, I was within normal range with my blood sugars. I did have a couple of abnormal readings, but that is to be expected when under stress. And, let me tell you, calling the ambulance TWICE in one day is stressful! We remain so very grateful to live in Freeport, and are thankful for our Freeport family that rallied around us today. Some friends helped us when she fell the second time this afternoon, several clergy colleagues and church family offered to bring lunch and dinner. Thank you all, for doing a STELLAR job at being THE CHURCH! All in all, we remain convinced that it is a good life, and we are grateful. We give thanks to God! And in the craziness of this day, we realized that in all the years that moms been struggling with her health, this is the first time weve ever actually had to call 911. Rather impressive, given her history. Of course, she liked it so much we did it twice in one day, but you know, whos counting? ;) Well, facebook family, I am off to bed. Love you all. Will keep you updated tomorrow! :)
